Here are the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about our unique approach to weight loss. However, this is not an exhaustive list. The best place to get ALL of your questions answered is by scheduling an in-person or remote initial consultation with us to dive into the details together and see if our approach is a good fit for you. Each person’s program is customized based on the biodata gathered from their bioscan analysis. The foods you’ll be eating and plant-based supplements you’ll be taking (NEVER any appetite suppressants, stimulants, hormones, etc.) will be unique to you. However, in a nutshell, you can expect to:

  • Be in a structured weight loss stage for the first 20-40 days
  • During that time you’ll be eating foods from your unique Foods For Weight Loss list generated by our bioscan technology — a robust list of delicious fruits, vegetables and proteins.
  • No calorie counting or calorie restriction
  • We’ll transition you to a metabolic lock-in stage for the following three weeks after the first 20-40 days
  • Identify which foods are your negative trigger foods which cause inflammation and weight gain
  • Texting us each day, and checking in with us every 7-14 days

You WON’T be eating any bars, shakes, or pre-packaged meals.

You WILL be eating tons of vegetables, proteins, and fruits from your unique Foods for Weight Loss list generated from your bioscan results. You’ll prepare these foods under our guidance into delicious and easy recipes and menu suggestions (or you’ll make up your own if you already know your way around the grill and kitchen, Bobby Flay 😉)

One thing to note is that this is NOT a Never-Enjoy-Another-Carb-Again-type approach. Our goal once we’re through the more structured part of the program is to reintroduce all the foods under the sun. We want you to enjoy food and not fear it. There will be a place for a piece of pizza and a beer, or a bowl of ice cream in your future. However we want to first rebalance the body and fix the metabolism, and then equip you with your roadmap to continued success.

Here’s an idea of what a typical few days might look like:

It sure can! Our program is already more “plant-forward” so going full vegan/vegetarian is super easy.

In fact Dr. Abood first did the program as a vegan and one of our clinical nutritionists on staff is a long-time vegetarian and has helped us build out a comprehensive vegetarian approach to our program.

Absolutely! While we’d love to see you, every aspect of our program can be facilitated remotely. Some clients are 100% remote (holler at all our out-of-state peeps!), some only come in on occasion and have the rest of their program done remotely (like our folks on in West Valley of Cleveland), some just come in person. Yep! Many other programs discourage working out but we don’t want you to stop a healthy lifestyle habit of moving your body purposefully (without zumba how else are we supposed to keep these dance moves fresh, am I right?).

We may ask you to scale or modify and the bottom line is: stay in touch with us. If your activity causes you to be more hungry or low energy, we’ll need to hear from you in order to make some adjustments to your nutrition.

Nope. You should be feeling great during your program. Energy should be better, sleep should improve, sometimes libido improves, and hunger should not be an issue. If you are hungry or have low energy, we need to hear from you right away to make adjustments.

During the most structured first 40-60 days of your program we’d (ideally) like to check in with you every 7-14 days in order to do a body composition analysis (to track your metabolic age, body fat %, hydration levels, visceral fat rating, etc.) and to make sure you’re feeling great. For our remote clients, these check-ins are done virtually via video or phone.

You don’t have to be Gordon Ramsey to be successful on this program. In fact, one of our endorsers — Vince Marrotta of 98.7FM — famously said, “I ate like a 12-year-old boy when mom was out of town when I started this program.” With our support on meal prep and restaurant suggestions he lost over 30 pounds and has kept it off since 2018.

Think of mealtime as a “choose your own adventure” novel we used to read as kids (anyone remember Goosebumps by RL Stein??) — you can make it as simple and easy or as complicated and complex as you’d like it.

We do have several meal-prep services we work with to help creating amazing meals which some people do take advantage of. Our program will also provide you with a full meal plan of our tried-and-true, easy and delicious recipes for you to follow if you’re wanting to prepare your own meals. We also have a ton of more involved recipes and meal suggestions if you want. We can also show you how to eat out or on the go.

Our community of clients also has a private Facebook group where they’re always sharing ideas and recipes there too.

Bottom line: Our program can work at any level of comfort in the kitchen.

You can, but we encourage you to prepare the majority of your meals at home. You can control more variables that way.

If your work or lifestyle includes eating out or entertaining, let us know and we’ll craft a guide to eating out and doing the best you can to stay on track while away from home.

We even have clients who email us which restaurants they’re going to that week and we direct them to which foods to order and how to order them!

If that’s the case, you’re probably not a good fit for our program right now. By nature of this being a more plant-forward, anti-inflammatory approach with a heavy focus on getting your body a wide spectrum of micro- and phyto-nutrients you’ll be loving a good deal of veggies each day. You’ll still be eating plenty of protein and fruit, but veggies definitely will be on the menu.

Typical crash diets can cause you to look more aged because they often dehydrate you. The re:vitalize program on the other hand has a very high emphasis on cellular hydration, trace mineral balance, and micronutrients — all factors that allow skin to stay elastic, supple, and smooth as a baby’s you-know-where.

Not at all. While we do want your body to go to it’s own fat for energy, we are not aggressively putting your body into a state of ketosis through high-fat consumption. (And contrary to popular internet wisdom, fruit actually is healthy and we don’t think eating a pound of bacon each day is the best move for long term health).

Heck no. We want you eating a lot of food on our program. You should never be hungry (and we need to hear from you if you are so we can make appropriate adjustments).

We are so confident in the comprehensiveness of our approach, our unmatched client support, and our technology’s ability to customize a program for you that we guarantee you’ll lose at least 20 pounds or more on our program (though most men and women are losing far beyond this). If you don’t see results we will extend or repeat the program at our cost, or if a refund is requested your refund is simply prorated based on the results you did achieve.

There will be a tailored supplement protocol you will be put on during the first 40-60 days of your program. The specific supplements you’ll be taking will depend on what our technology shows us as the vitamins, minerals, and/or micronutrients your body needs to address the specific out-of-range biomarkers which may be causing your metabolism to slow.

You will NOT be taking any hormones, stimulants, medication, fat burners, or appetite suppressants. You will NOT be purchasing these supplements from us during your program, they will all be provided for you once you’re enrolled.
